Material examined: BBB 2016: St. 27.

Distribution: Cosmopolitan. Species widely distributed in the southwestern Atlantic, 20°S to 55°S ( Oliveira et al. 2016). This is the first record in MPA Namuncurá I.

Remarks: An immature colony was found detached from substrate. Synonyms at the area: Plumularia diploptera ; Plumularia spiralis (see Oliveira et al. 2016).
