Syntype female, India, Nilgiri ( NHM) (genitalia not examined). Non-type male from Sri Lanka (slide Geom:11214HT-JDH (erroneously marked as holotype), Figs 9–10 View FIGURES 9–11 ), non-type female from Sri Lanka (slide Geom:11259HT-JDH, Fig. 11 View FIGURES 9–11 ) ( NHM). Originally described as Menophra rubridisca (see Hampson 1891) .

Geographical range. India (south): Nilgiri district (type locality), Sri Lanka (see Holloway 1982) .
