Material examined. ZI RAS-N498: type material, det. Moellendorff. NHM-1912.6.27.66 Reg.: 1 shell. Mekong, Tibet. NHM-1912.3.26.1 Reg.: 1 fms. 3000 ft. Limestone region. S. E. Kansu (measurement: ewh 1.5, wh 6.5, h 19.5, diam. maj. 14.5, aph 11.5, apw 10.3). SMF-41988: Lectotype. Zw. Li-dshia-pu u. Hsi-kutsheng, Kansu. Slg. O.v.Moellendorff. SMF-41989: Paratypes. 2 fmss. Zw. Li-dshia-pu u. Hsi-ku-tsheng, Kansu. Slg. O.v.Moellendorff.

Distribution. Gansu (type locality).

Type locality. Zw. Lidshiapu und Hsikutsheng (SE Gansu).

Diagnosis. Shell with band; not striate. Aperture indistinctly with angular tubercle. Most swollen part at penultimate and body whorls. With 6.250–7.250 whorls; height 18.3–20.8, diam. maj. 11.3–15.8. Re-description of Shell. Cylindrical-conic; apex minutely protruded. Most swollen part at penultimate and body whorls. Shell dextral; thin; solid; opaque; glossy; not speckled; not spirally grooved; with 6.250–6.563–7.250 whorls. Whorls not shouldered; flattened. Growth lines usually not very clear. Embryonic shell smooth; polished; with 1.500–1.594–1.750 whorls. Postnuclear whorls smooth. Suture normal, without narrow defined zone on beneath whorl. Last whorl gradually ascending towards aperture; rounded at periphery; without smoothed spiral peripheral depression nor rugate region. Shell 18.3–20.0–20.8 high; 11.3–14.0– 15.8 in diam. maj. Height/width ratio 1.26–1.42–1.74. Aperture in a plane; completely attached to body whorl; subcircular; not adnate; slightly oblique; not armed; indistinctly with angular tubercle; 9.4–11.3–12.7 high; 7.5–9.4–10.2 wide. Ratio of shell height to aperture height 1.61–1.76–2.10. Peristome reflexed, without distinct cuff (which is considerably broad); expanded; sharp. Parietal callus indistinct. Columellar margin reflexed. Columella vertical. Outer edge of columellar lip vertical. Umbilicus narrowly open. Apical whorls normally coloured or differently tinted. Shell multicoloured; Apex and umbilical region in light brown. From fourth whorl on a broad white spiral band occupying whorl, except sometimes absent in ultimate whorl. Aperture white.
