Distribution. Gansu (type locality, between Li-dshia-pu and His-gu-tsheng, between Li-dshia-pu and Guan-ting).

Type locality. Dangchang.

Diagnosis. Shell bandless; not or faintly striate. Aperture more or less distinctly with angular tubercle. Most swollen part at penultimate and body whorls. With 6.375–7.000 whorls; height 15.4–18.7, diam. maj. 11.4–14.0. Penis without penial caecum; internally with more than 2 fine longitudinal pilasters. Papilla developed by fused proximal pilasters forming V-shaped structure absent. Epiphallus forming a few loops. Epiphallic caecum absent.

Re-description of shell. Ovate; apex protruded. Most swollen part at penultimate and body whorls. Shell dextral; thin; solid; opaque; glossy; not speckled; with spiral grooves (only at umbilical region); with 6.375–6.588–7.000 whorls. Whorls not shouldered; flattened. Growth lines usually not very clear. Embryonic shell smooth; polished; with 1.375–1.529–1.750 whorls. Postnuclear whorls smooth. Suture normal, without narrow defined zone on beneath whorl. Last whorl gradually ascending towards aperture; rounded at periphery; without smoothed spiral peripheral depression nor rugate region. Shell 16.4–17.5–18.7 high; 12.0–12.7–14.0 in diam. maj. Height/width ratio 1.30–1.38–1.48. Aperture in a plane; completely attached to body whorl; subcircular or truncate-ovate; not adnate; oblique; not armed; more or less distictly with angular tubercle; 9.0–10.0–10.9 high; 7.2–8.4–9.3 wide. Ratio of shell height to aperture height 1.60–1.75–1.92. Peristome reflexed, without distinct cuff; expanded; sharp. Parietal callus indistinct. Columellar margin reflexed. Columella vertical or slightly arched. Outer edge of columellar lip vertical. Umbilicus very narrowly open. Apical whorls normally coloured to differently tinted. Shell multicoloured; and umbilical region. in light greyish brown. From about the third or the fourth whorl on, with a broad whitish spiral band which occupies nearly the whole whorl. Aperture white.

Genitalia. Vas deferens long; of even thickness; entering epiphallus apically with distinct demarcation. Epiphallus long; cylindrical; of uniform thickness; forming a few loops; externally smooth; without caecum. Flagellum short; tubular; proximally normal; with tip blunt. Penis with terminal entrance of epiphallus; clavate; evenly thick; without penial caecum; thin-walled; internally with more than 2 fine longitudinal pilasters; with 1 V-shaped pilaster. V-shaped pilaster with proximal free end approaching at penial retractor insertion; distally not developing into a papilla. Penial process nipple-shaped; situated at boundary between epiphallus and penis. Penial verge absent. Penial appendix long; branched off from penis at some distance from atrium; divided into sections sections including A-1+A-2, A-3 and A-4+A-5. A-1 and A-2 fused; interiorly with more than 2 fine longitudinal pilasters. A-2 near A-3 internally without a ring of papilla. A-2 and A-3 not fused. A-3 opening into A-2 by no papilla. Boundary between A-4 and A-5 indistinct. A-5 long; convoluted. Penial retractor biramous; attaching to penis distally and to A-1+ A-2; with penial retractor arms arising from diaphragm closed to each other. Muscular band connecting vagina and epiphallus absent.. Additional retractor other than penial or appendicular absent. Atrium short; with weak atrial retractor. Free oviduct short; much shorter than vagina. Vagina long; not swollen; straight; not lined with loose, spongy tissue; unpigmented. Bursa copulatrix duct rather long; proximally twisted. Bursa copulatrix with stalk; without apical ligament; normal in size; with long neck; well defined. Diverticle normally present; longer than reservoir; expanded. Bursa copulatrix and diverticle distinguishable; forked more distally from their base.

Measurement of genitalia. P: 4.4; Ep: 19.0; Fl: 0.7; VD: 13.0; Va: 3.9; FO: 2.2; BCD: 26.1; BC: 1.6; D: 4.5; A-1+A-2: 6.0; A3: 1.6. A-4+A-5: 20.2.
