Distribution. Gansu (type locality).

Type locality. Zw. Li-dshia-pu u. Hsi-ku-tsheng (Gansu).

Diagnosis. Shell bandless; striate. Aperture faintly with or without angular tubercle. Most swollen part at body whorl. With 6.000–6.875 whorls; height 17.1–20.6, diam. maj. 11.1–12.9. Penis without penial caecum; internally without fine pilaster. Papilla developed by fused proximal pilasters forming V-shaped structure absent. Epiphallus straight. Epiphallic caecum present. Free oviduct much shorter than vagina, almost invisible.

Re-description of shell. Pointed-ovate; apex protruded. Most swollen part at body whorl. Shell. Shell dextral; thin; solid; almost opaque; glossy; speckled or not; not spirally grooved; with 6.000–6.329–6.875 whorls. Whorls not shouldered; weakly convex. Growth lines usually not very clear. Embryonic shell smooth; polished; with 1.375–1.559–1.750 whorls. Postnuclear whorls smooth. Suture normal, without narrow defined zone on beneath whorl. Last whorl gradually ascending towards aperture; rounded at periphery; without smoothed spiral peripheral depression nor rugate region. Shell 17.1–18.5–20.6 high; 11.1–11.9– 12.9 in diam. maj. Height/width ratio 1.44–1.55–1.71. Aperture in a plane; completely attached to body whorl; truncateovate; not adnate; oblique; not armed; weakly with angular tubercle, or without angular tubercle; 9.0–9.7–10.8 high; 6.8–7.3–7.8 wide. Ratio of shell height to aperture height 1.78–1.90–2.03. Peristome reflexed, without distinct cuff; expanded; sharp. Parietal callus indistinct. Columellar margin slightly reflexed. Columella vertical. Outer edge of columellar lip vertical. Umbilicus very narrowly open. Apical whorls normally coloured. Shell multicoloured; light-chestnut with more or less evenly distributed whitish radial striation except apex. Aperture white; not brightly banded; spirally without colour band.

Genitalia. Vas deferens short; swollen proximally; entering epiphallus apically with distinct demarcation. Epiphallus short; cylindrical; of uniform thickness; normally straight; externally smooth. Epiphallic caecum located near vas deferens entrance; blunt apically. Flagellum short; subglobular; proximally normal; with tip blunt. Penis with terminal entrance of epiphallus; clavate; without penial caecum; distally enlarged; thinwalled; internally without fine longitudinal pilaster, with 1 V-shaped pilaster. V-shaped structure distally without a papilla. Other penial inner structure absent. Penis without process. Penial verge absent. Penial appendix short; branched off from proximal portion of penis; divided into sections including A-1+A-2, A-3 and A-4+A-5. A-1 and A-2 fused. A-2 and A-3 not fused. Boundary between A-4 and A-5 indistinct. A-5 very short; straight. Penial retractor biramous; attaching to penis in middle part and to A-1+ A-2; with penial retractor arms arising from diaphragm separately. Additional retractor rather than penial or appendicular absent. Muscular band connecting vagina and epiphallus absent. Atrium short; without atrial retractor. Free oviduct much shorter than vagina, almost invisible. Vagina moderately long; not swollen; straight; not lined with loose, spongy tissue; unpigmented. Bursa copulatrix duct short; proximally straight. Bursa copulatrix with stalk; without apical ligament; small; with long neck; poorly defined. Diverticle normally present; shorter than reservoir; expanded. Bursa copulatrix and diverticle distinguishable; forked immediately near their base. Spermatophore unknown.

Measurement of genitalia. P: 5.2; Ep: 3.3; Fl: 0.6; VD: 5.3; Va: 4.7; FO: 0; BCD: 3.8; BC: 1.2; D: 9.1; A- 1+A-2: 3.4; A3: 1; A-4+A-5: 6.8 (in HBUMM-04282-specimen 2).
