Corinna rubripes C. L. Koch, 1842: 17 View in CoL , pl. 293, fig. 702 (male holotype from Bahia, Brazil, Gomez col., ZMB 2134, not reexamined); Karsch, 1880: 375, pl. 12, fig. 1; Simon, 1898: 198; Petrunkevitch, 1911: 469; 1928: 177; Roewer, 1954: 600; Moritz & Fischer, 1988: 137; Bonaldo, 1996: 80 (figs. 1–19); Bonaldo, 2000: 40 (figs. 21, 22). Sparassus rubripes ; Walckenaer, 1847: 561.
Diagnosis. Males of Corinna rubripes resemble those of C. nitens by having the tip of the conductor extending retrolaterally, but differ by the apex of the RTA projected ventrally, by having a large proapical tegular projection covering the embolar base in ventral view, and the base of the conductor with a quadrangular projection ( Bonaldo, 1996: figs. 16–17); females resemble C. nitens and C. kuryi n. sp. by the copulatory opening posteriorly placed, but can be recognized by having the copulatory duct visible ventrally and the epigynal plate only slightly projected posteriorly ( Bonaldo, 1996: figs. 18–19).
Description. See Bonaldo, 1996.
