Type locality: ‘ St. Elena , Monte Christi , west coast of America ; in from six to fifteen fathoms’. Label locality: ‘ Punta , St. Elena , West Colombia’ ( NHMUK 1968239 View Materials /1-3), ‘ Monte Christi, West Colombia’ ( NHMUK 1979127 View Materials ).

Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1968239/1, 2 paralectotypes NHMUK 1968239/2-3 and 3 paralectotypes NHMUK 1979127. Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype (Cernohorsky, 1969: 216).
