Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1979123/1 and 1 paralectotype NHMUK 1979123/2 (‘Old’ collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype ( Bratcher & Cernohorsky, 1987: 164, pl. 50, fig. 193a). Remarks: ‘Gulf of Mexico off Padre Island, Texas’ designated as type locality by Bratcher & Cernohorsky (1987: 164).
