Number of specimens recorded. 79.

Distribution. Europe, except for the south. Portugal: three northern provinces.

Ecology. In Portugal this species was mostly collected, also in highest numbers, in park landscapes. Contrary to C. meridionalis , it was also encountered in brackish marshes. In northwestern Europe, C. molliculus is mostly observed on broad leaves of shrubs and trees in a variety of habitat types.

Rarity (%). 5.7 (fairly rare). Very common (FL).
