Number of specimens recorded. 21.

Distribution. Europe; also North Africa. Portugal: four northern provinces in this study, and Algarve (Dyte unpubl. data).

Ecology. Although being collected in a variety of biotopes in Portugal, most of them encompassed riverbanks. In northwestern Europe, D. signifer prefers muddy spots in open marshlands, in particular in salt marshes and brackish marshes ( Pollet 2000).

Rarity (%). 5.7 (fairly rare). Fairly common (FL).

Activity period. April–July, September–October.
