Number of specimens recorded. 5.

Distribution. Europe; also North Africa. Portugal: three central and southern provinces.

Ecology. Recorded in Portugal from a flower-rich meadow in Mediterranean shrubland, a river margin of a Mediterranean nature, and a mixed forest / orchard. O. nigrocoerulea , like other species of this genus, is a frequent flower visitor, where it is most often observed.

Rarity (%). 3.4 (rare).
