Number of specimens recorded. 4.

Distribution. Europe. Portugal: one province in northern (Beira Litoral) and one in central Portugal (Baixo Alentejo).

Ecology. The few Portuguese specimens of this species were gathered in a common reed vegetation in a brackish marshland, in a site dominated by stands of Quercus suber and Quercus rotundifolia with a variety of sclerophyllous shrubs and annual herbaceous plants, and crossed by a small river with Fraxinus sp. on its banks; and in a landscape composed of agricultural land and patches of forest crossed by a small river. In northwestern Europe, this species is mostly found on the banks of open water (incl. rivers) in marshlands and reedmarshes, but also in carrs, often on loamy soil ( Pollet 2000).
