Distribution. Europe. Portugal: only recorded from Ilha de Tavira, opposite of Santa Luzia (Faro district, Algarve province) (Dyte unpubl. data).

Ecology. Like the previous species, T. ruficornis is confined to saltmarshes and brackish marshes everywhere in Europe ( Pollet 2000).
