Type species. Liomera longimana A. Milne-Edwards, 1865 View in CoL [Type locality: Guadeloupe] .

Remarks. Paraliomera encompass only two species, both from western Atlantic waters, namely: P. dispar ( Stimpson, 1871a) and P. longimana (A. Milne-Edwards, 1865) .
