Die Synonymie mit Platylabus pallidens WESMAEL wurde bereits von HILPERT et al. (1993) vermutet. Die Färbung des des Gasters ist bei dieser Art variabel (siehe Anmerkungen bei Platylabus pallidens WESMAEL ), Platylabus theresae hat einen dunklen Gaster und entspricht damit der von HEINRICH (1944) als Stenolabus daemonops beschriebenen Varietät.
