Thiotricha pancratiastis Meyrick, 1921: 426 View in CoL ; TL: India, Shillong , Assam (now in Meghalaya) (Type ♂) ( NHMUK) .
Distribution: India: Meghalaya (Shillong). Elsewhere : Japan (Oku et al. 2018), Korea, and Taiwan ( Koo et al. 2020).
Illustrations: Adult and genitalia ( Clarke 1969b: 464; Fujita et al. 2009: 428; Oku et al. 2018: 11; Koo et al. 2020: 38; Lee et al. 2021: 371).
Remark: Pre-dispersal seed predation of bayberry, Myrica rubra on Yakushima Island, Japan. It attacks the fruits during the primary stage of fruit development and feeds on the seeds of M. rubra . It was earlier known to be a foliage feeder (leaf miner), but then is has been reported as a seed predator of the bayberry ( Fujita et al. 2009).
