Encolpotis heliopepta Meyrick, 1918: 153 View in CoL ; TL: India, Shillong , Assam (now in Meghalaya) (Type ♀) ( NHMUK) .
Distribution: India: Meghalaya (Shillong).
Illustrations: Adult and genitalia ( Clarke 1969b: 55).
Remark: This is the only representative of the genus from Oriental region, and it is endemic to India. The other two known species, E. scioplasta Meyrick, 1920 and E. xanthoria Meyrick, 1909 , are known from the African region (Savela 2023).
