Distribution: India: Andamans ( Diakonoff 1968), Assam (Golaghat and Guwahati), Gujarat (Mehmadabad), Karnataka (Dharwad and Kodagu), and Tamil Nadu (Madurai) ( Li & Sattler 2012). Elsewhere : China, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Solomon Islands and Thailand ( Li & Sattler 2012).

Hosts: Crotalaria juncea , Tephrosia candida , T. purpurea ( Fabaceae ) ( Li & Sattler 2012).

Remark: Incorrectly synonymized with Brachyacma palpigera (Walsingham, 1891) by Busck, 1914: 10 and the records of B. palpigera from Oriental region are incorrect ( Li & Sattler 2012).
