Bucolarcha geodes Meyrick, 1929: 515 View in CoL ; TL: South Africa, Weenen , Natal (Lectotype ♀ designated by Clarke 1969a: 382) ( NHMUK) .
Distribution: India: Bihar (Pusa) and Karnataka (Kodagu) ( Li & Sattler 2012). Elsewhere : Kenya, Malawi, Pakistan, and South Africa ( Li & Sattler 2012).
Illustrations: Adult and genitalia ( Clarke 1969a: 382; Li & Sattler 2012: 48).
Hosts: Albizia lebbeck , Senegalia brevispica , Senegalia catechu , Vachellia farnesiana ( Fabaceae ) ( Li & Sattler 2012).
Remark: The species is most likely native to India and was introduced into Africa with its food plant (Meyrick 1929).
