Stenichnaphes ceylonensis Franz, 1982: 135 , fig. 10.

Stenichnaphes (Parastenichnaphes) ceylonensis Franz ; implied placement in Franz (1984): 91.

Parastenichnaphes ceylonensis (Franz) View in CoL ; Franz, 1989: 278; Jałoszyński, 2005: 579, figs 4–5, 9–10, 12.

Stenichnodes (Parastenichnaphes) ceylonensis (Franz) View in CoL ; Jałoszyński, 2015: 279.

Material studied. 2 ♂♂, 1 ♀, India, Madras (= Tamil Nadu), Alagarkovil , 21 km N Madurai, 250-350 m, 2.XI.1972, Besuchet & Löbl leg. (cPJ, MHNG) ; 2 ♀♀, India, Madras, Varushanad Hills, Suruli Falls , 550 m, 8.XI.1972, Be- suchet & Löbl leg. ( MHNG) ; 1 ♀, India, Madras, Anaimalai Hills, near Aliyar Dam , 850 m, 18.XI.1972, Besuchet & Löbl leg. (cPJ, MHNG) .

Remarks. This species was known to occur only in Sri Lanka. Specimens from the southernmost region of India differ indistinctly in slightly slenderer aedeagus in lateral view ( Figs 19−22 View FIGURES 15–22 ). Externally, specimens from Sri Lanka (revised by Jałoszyński (2005)) and those from India show a considerable variation in proportions of body parts and relative length of antennae, but this variability can be found among specimens coming from the same collecting event, i.e., the same spot and time.
