Saccharodite coccinea View in CoL species group
This group is described very tentatively because the types of both species it contains are missing. For this reason, no key to the species is provided. The characterization is based on Matsumura's description of Rhotana coccinea which we suspect could be identical to Saccharodite sanguinea Kirkaldy. The characterization includes the combination of the following features:
1. Forewings with Ms1b and Cu1 completely fused, Ms1 appears to be unbranched.
2. Forewings elongated, about 2.4 times longer than wide.
3. Most parts of body bright red.
