47. Oxyopsis festae Giglio-Tos, 1914 View in CoL

Type locality. Gualaquiza ( Ecuador).

Examined material: none

Remarks. Ehrmann (2002) cited this species from Peru but he did not report any specimens. The type locality of O. festae is in Ecuador (Gualaquiza, in Morona Santiago province), a town in close geographic proximity to the Peruvian border. Montane forest predominates in this general area, as well as in bordering northern most parts of Amazonas, Cajamarca and Piura, making the occurrence of Oxyopsis festae in Peru highly likely. Therefore, we accept Ehrmann’s (2002) record and retain this species in the Peruvian checklist.
