Material examined. Henan Province, Luoyang City, Luanchuan County, Longyuwan National Forest Park, 33°46’15’’N, 111°43’42’’E, 2 males, 11.vii.1996, 1000 m a.s.l., sweep net, J. Li.
Diagnostic characters: The adult male can be separated from other members of the genus by low AR about 0.40.
Remarks. The species was described by Sasa et al. (1988), but mistakenly placed in Parakiefferiella . Yamamoto (2004) re-examined the holotype and transferred it to Compterosmittia . Mendes et al. (2004) did not mention the species in the review. Specimens from China have AR 0.39, close to the specimen from Japan (AR 0.40).
