Figs 1 View FIGURES 1 G–H, 6 F, 13 A–I.

Greenish ochraceous with more yellow on pronotum and mesonotum. Median ridge on crown greenish, Lateral margins of pronotum dark brown continued onto lateral margins of clavus. Mesonotum yellow, with basal triangles slightly reddish brown. Clavus of forewing reddish brown interrupted in middle across clavus by greyish white, a few greyish white spots on both anterior as well as posterior regions of this interruption, inner claval vein greyish white, outer claval vein dark brown; inner margin of forewing and oblique apical margin brown with mesal dark brown border. Face greenish yellow with inner margins of antennal cavity dark brown. Sternites and legs greenish yellow.

Crown horizontal, with median ridge, finely granulate, about 0.7 times as long medially as wide between eyes. Pronotal foveae not deep but perceptible, anterior margin almost straight, posterior margin slightly concave medially, longer than crown and about 2.3 times as wide as medially long; lateral margins slightly curved in posterior half. Mesonotum about as long as pronotum. Forewing clavus more coarsely and deeply punctate, claval veins fused at point at midlength and then separate, outer claval vein more or less smooth not ledge-like. Hind tibia with 2 macrosetae on row PD.

Male genitalia. Pygofer with conically rounded caudodorsal angle, ventral margin convex, ventral process arising in posterodorsal region slender not attaining dorsal margin. Style slightly broader in midregion, apophysis slightly curved ventrally subapically with obliquely truncate apex. Aedeagus with well-developed dorsal apodeme; shaft more or less of uniform width for most part in lateral view, directed posteriorly and then dorsally with a pair of asymmetrical unequal processes subapically, one of them (on right side) long almost ¾ as long as shaft and directed anteroventrally with truncate apex, other process shorter than width of shaft and apically bifid, gonopore subapical. Segment X with ventroposterior prolongation well developed with short basal spine laterally at base ( Fig. 13B View FIGURES 13 ).

Measurements. Male 8.1 mm long, 2.5 mm wide across eyes and 2.9 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum.

Material examined. INDIA: Tamil Nadu: HOLOTYPE ♂, Ootacamund (handwritten), Nilgiri Hills, S. India (printed), c. 8000 ft (handwritten), T. V. Campbell (printed), “4.15, 72 6 (on reverse of card mount. handwritten) ( BMNH) . PARATYPES. 2 ♂ data as in holotype; 2♂, Ooty, T. V. Campbell (1 ♂ Nilgiri Hills with “O” “5.15” on reverse of specimen mount, handwritten, 1♂, Doddabetta with “O 4.15 726” on reverse of specimen mount, handwritten). All BMNH .

Etymology. The species name refers to its occurrence in mountainous regions.

Remarks. Y. montana sp. nov. has similar male genitalia to Y. granulosa , but differs in the shape of the aedeagal shaft processes and also in the shape of the apex of the style. There is some variation in the shape of the anal tube process and shorter aedeagal process. It also has a basal short spine laterally on anal segment, not found in other species of this genus.
