Greenish with reddish brown and pale yellow markings. Crown greenish yellow and translucent in middle anterior area, posterior and lateral areas between eyes reddish. Eyes and ocelli red. Face greenish yellow, area surrounding base of antenna dark brown. Pronoutm anterior border reddish brown, posterior half green and area between them and lateral margins greenish yellow. Exposed mesoscutum and scutellum yellow. Forewing translucent green with outer claval vein and inner claval margin yellow. Sternites and legs greenish yellow.

Crown slightly longer medially than next to eyes, strongly sculptured slightly more than half (0.57x) as long as wide between eyes. Pronotum twice as wide as long medially. Exposed mesonotum longer than median length of crown but shorter than pronotum. Hind tibia with 4 macrosetae on row PD.

Male genitalia. Pygofer ventral process branched into three prong-like processes, the more dorsal process bifid and the ventral one entire. Subgenital plates slightly narrower distally, with slightly concavely rounded mesal margin. Style apex bent ventrally and sharply pointed. Aedeagal dorsal apodeme well developed; shaft directed posteriorly in basal 0.33 then upturned dorsally, with one pair of subapical lateral lamellate processes directed laterally and distally, each process with basal finger-like slender retrose process; gonopore apical on ventral surface between dorsal and ventral lobe-like apical projections of shaft. Segment X large, with ventral lobe-like extension.

Measurements. Male 8.7 mm long, 2.7 mm wide across eyes and 3.3 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum.

Etymology. The species epithet alludes to the three pronged pygofer process.

Remarks. The three pronged pygofer process and peculiar subapical process of the aedeagal shaft distinguish this species from all other species of Yelahanka .
