Shoots up to 150 cm long, 2–5 mm in diameter, glabrous, light green, internodes of the middle part of the shoot longer than adjacent capillary leaf. Laminar leaves absent. Intermediate leaves absent. Capillary leaves present, alternate, 30–50(–60) mm long, suborbicular, light green, glabrous, segments rigid to subrigid (rarely partly flaccid), divergent, middle part equal to the lateral ones, length between first and second bifurcation 5–10 mm, number of the lamina divisions 3–5(–7), number of final segments up to 200; sessile or with petiole 2–5 mm, rarely up to 20 mm long. Stipules 1/2 to 2/3 adnate to the petiole, glabrous, apex of free part rounded. Peduncles up to 150 mm long, straight or recurved, glabrous. Sepals 5, 3–6 mm long, obovate to elliptical, green, spreading. Petals 5, 9–20(–30) mm long, broadly obovate, white with yellow claw, contiguous during anthesis. Nectar pits 1 per petal, pyriform. Stamens 15–25. Carpels 50–80, 0.8–1.0(–1.2) mm long, globose, glabrous or puberulent at base of style, style lateral to subterminal, 0.1–0.3 mm long, caducous.
