Centaureae kurdicae subsp. kurdicae affinis , a qua appendicibus distincte ciliatis, ciliis utrinque 10–16 et 1–4 mm longis (nec integris, vix laciniatis in parte superiore), spinis terminalibus appendicibus mediis 5–7 mm (nec 8–15(–20) mm) longis differt.
Type :— TURKEY. Muş: 34 km W Muş toward Bingöl, 1380 m, 24 July 1974, Rechinger 49930 (holotype E!, isotype W!) .
Appendages distinctly ciliate; cilia 10–16 on each side, 1–4 mm long; spine of median appendages 5–7 mm long.
