Type locality. Morro do Chapéu , Chapada Diamantina, state of Bahia, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 119A View Plate 119 ). Restricted to the southern portion of the Caatinga ( Plt. 119A View Plate 119 ), at high elevations of the northern portion of the EspinhaÇo Range ( Plt. 119B View Plate 119 ). Observed in the field in savanna ( Fernandes and Hamdan, 2014).
