Type locality. Barreiras , state of Bahia, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 309A View Plate 309 ). Widespread in the Caatinga and recorded marginally in the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest ( Plt. 309A View Plate 309 ) from low to high elevations ( Plt. 309A View Plate 309 ). Observed in the field in open areas, associated with dry vegetation, including herbaceous, arboreal, and bushy caatinga, and savanna ( Zaher, 1996; Guedes et al., 2014).
