Type locality. EstaÇão Costa Pinto , Piracicaba, state of São Paulo, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil ( Plt. 280A View Plate 280 ) recorded only in the southern portion of the Cerrado and its contact areas with Atlantic Forest ( Plt. 280A View Plate 280 ) at intermediate to high elevations of the upper Paraná basin ( Plt. 280B View Plate 280 ). Observed in the field in wet grassland and palm marshes ( Valdujo et al., 2009).
