Flora Indiae Batavae 3: 589 (1855). — Type:Rumphius, Herbarium Amboinense 5: t. 61 fig. 2 (1747) (lecto-, here designated).
REMARKS The diagnosis by Colla is essentially based on Rumphius’ (1747: 137, t. 61 fig. 2). That is the lectotype of M. troglodytarum L. (1767) also, which name antedates M. uranoscopos Miq. (1855) .
