Saurenchelys taiwanensis Karmovskaya, 2004 :S27 (Type locality: Philippines).

Voucher specimens: NMMB-P 10064, 10065, 11190, 11193, 11986, 12624, 13160, 15516, 15911, 16451, 19446 (Dong-gang); NMMB-P 12229 (Da-xi).

Remarks. This species was originally described from a single specimen collected in the Philippines. There are many specimens newly collected from deep waters off northeastern and southwestern Taiwan. This is a new record in Taiwan.
