Ophichthys misolensis Günther, 1872b:426 (type locality: Misol Island, Irian Jaya, Indonesia).
Voucher specimens: NMMB-P 12003 (Dong-gang); NMMB-P 17506 (Dong-gang).
Remarks. This is a new record for Taiwan; represented by only a few specimens collected by bottom trawl in southwestern Taiwan. It is very common in Vietnam, e.g. Nha Trang and Mui Ne, collected from depths less than 100 meters, based on HH's observation.
