Range. As indicated by the records above, this is the predominant stygobiotic Caecidotea in the Ridge and Valley region of Maryland. It occurs in Virginia and adjacent West Virginia, through Maryland into Pennsylvania. In the latter two states C. pricei has crossed the Blue Ridge into the Piedmont ( Steeves 1969; Lewis 2009).
