Type material. Holotype ( Figs 11 View FIGURES 11–18 , 34 View FIGURES 33–38 ): male, “ Myanmar (Burma), 65 km NE Putao, Zi Yar Dam village , 1250m, 18–21.V.1998, leg. Murzin & Sinjaev [recte: Sinyaev]” / “Genitalpräparat Heterocera Nr. 33.894 Museum Witt München” ( MWM / ZSM).

Paratypes: MYANMAR: 2 males, 1 female, 65 km NE Putao, Zi Yar Dam village , 1250 m, 18–21. V .1998, Murzin & Sinyaev leg., gen. prep. Nos. : MWM 33.772 (male) , MWM 33.773 (female) (prepared by Volynkin ) ( MWM / ZSM) ; 1 female, 50 km E Putao, env. Nan Thi village , 950 m, 11–16. V . 1998, leg. Diagnosis. The forewing length is 23.0 mm in both sexes. The new species is externally similar to A. epidela but distinguished by the forewing having a smaller discal spot and longer streaks in the medial area. Compared to A. cernyi , A. kachina is larger in size, has a smaller discal spot of the forewing and a more intense suffusion on the veins of the hindwing. The detailed comparison of the male and the female genitalia of A. kachina and A. cernyi is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Distribution. The new species is known only from Kachin State, northern Myanmar.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to Kachin State of Myanmar, where the new species is found.
