Etymology: Lord Voriax , the coronal, is a fictional character of the ‘Majipoor’ series of books written by the fantasy/sci-fi master, Robert Silverberg. Gender masculine.
Diagnosis: Tricommatinae with dorsal scutum trapezoid, without marked constrictions, flaring posteriorly; area I undivided; femur and tibia III of male extremely stout, balloon-like swollen; tibia with spines; femur IV of male thin, not signifi- cantly stouter than femora I−II; ventral plate of penis with subtle concavity (instead of deep, V-shaped notch).
Type species: Voriax popeye sp. nov.
