Ecology: primary and secondary forest, riverine forest, often on limestone and along rivers, also in open or cleared areas ( Sagun et al. 2010).

Distribution: Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, Papua New Guinea ( Sagun et al. 2010).
