Family Daphnidae
Ceriodaphnia cornuta Sars, 1888 View in CoL . One of the common species, found in all types of localities except swamps, usually numerous. Planktonic. Species was described from Australia. C. rigaudi Richard, 1884 View in CoL , described from North Vietnam, is presumed to be a form of C. cornuta View in CoL ( Rzoska 1956; Kotov & Ferrari 2010) but future revision is needed. Taxon of unclear status, presumed to be pantropical, but most probably a species-complex. Molecular studies suggest that there are no sharing species from this complex in different continents ( Sharma & Kotov, 2013).
