Pimentel & Pujol, 2001: 7–8 (redescription); 8, figs 12 (male head, dorsal view), 13 (male head, frontal view), 14 (male head, lateral view), 15 (male thorax, dorsal view), 16 (male antenna), 17 (male wing) and 18 (female wing); 9, figs 19 (male genitalia, dorsal view), 20 (male genitalia, ventral view) and 21 (male genitalia, lateral view)

Type locality: Brasil, São Paulo, Cotia.

Holotype ♂ with labels: (1) handwritten on white paper: “S. Paulo [State of São Paulo, Brazil] | Cotia | A.G. Silva | 27-xii-40 [27.xii.1940] [in vertical position]”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red paper: “ Histiodroma | fascipennis | ♂ James | HOLOTYPE ”; (3) printed on red paper: “Holotipo”; (4) printed on white paper: “51”; (5) printed on green paper: “ MZSP ”.

Condition of type: right wing damaged on costal vein near origin of radial veins. Missing part: left wing.

Allotype ♀ with labels: (1) printed on white paper: “ BRASIL – São Paulo [State of São Paulo, Brazil], | Juquiá, Faz. [Fazenda] Poço Grande, | 6–9.iv.1940 – F. Lane & | Trav. Fo. & C. Carvalho.”; (2) printed on white paper: “61291”; (3) printed on white paper: “52”; (4) handwritten on red paper: “ Histiodroma | fascipennis | ♀ James | ALLOTYPE”; (5) printed on green paper: “ MZSP ”.

Condition of type. Missing parts: right wing and terminal part of abdomen with genitalia.

Additional note: James (1943: 374) stated that the supplementary type locality as “Poco Granda”. This differs from the specimen label which states “Poço Grande”.
