This species was collected together with S. attenboroughi nov.sp. in the Cyclops Mountains, where it lives in the same habitat. In the Foja Mountains it was only collected on bluish grey loamy walls in the valley of the Timua river, where it lives together with S. balkei and S. prismalis .
