Dimensions: 30.6 μm long, 11.6 μm wide.
Diagnostics: Valve lanceolate-elliptical valve with sharply pointed rostrate apices, partecta offset, chambers of two distinct sizes, larger toward the middle.
Comments: The valve shape and the septa structure is similar to M. subacuta in Hustedt collection ( Simonsen 1987a, b). Differs from M. seychellensis , which also has offset partecta, but has gradually tapering chambers and blunt rostrate apices.
