Diagnosis. P. multisignata ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 8 ) externally similar to P. cognata , differs in more grayish basal, subbasal and costal fields and more reddish outer part of wing, less dentate, thin, black crosslines and presence of well expressed metallic-shining scales on dorso-lateral side of abdomen. In male genitalia ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 17 – 22 ) valva apically deeply split, with clearly separate costa and membrane of valva, harpe short and broad. In female genitalia ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 23 – 28 ), anterior apophyses very short, antevaginal plate not expressed, corpus bursae with small spine-like signa in medial part.

Distribution and biology. ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 37 – 44 ). South-east Transbaikalia, north Mongolia, south of Russian Far East (Amur reg., south of Khabarovsk terr., Primorye terr.), Korea, Japan, China ( Sugi 1982; Chen 1982; Kononenko 1990, 2005; Kononenko et al. 1998; Kononenko & Han 2007). Meso-xerophilous species, inhabits dry woodsides, clearings and meadows in open deciduous forests. The moth is in flight in July and August. The larva and its foodplants are unknown.
