Limnophora kuhlowi Zielke, 1974: 39

Holotype female in CAS.

Diagnosis. Fronto-orbital plate brown pruinose; arista with the hairs as long as width of postpedicel; postsutural dorsocentrals 3; lower katepisternal absent; mid femur with 2 posterior preapical setae; mid tibia with 1 posterior seta; hind femur with 1 anteroventral seta.

Notes. This runs to couplet 13 and to L. leptopus Emden, 1951 (now a synonym of L. stragula (Séguy, 1950)) in Emden’s (1951) key, and differs by the scutal pattern: presutural area dark in front of the second presutural dorsocentral seta, grey along suture; postsutural area with a dark anterior band reaching as far back as third dorsocentral; scutellum dark, narrowly grey at tip.
