Habitat. Attached to coral rubble and limestone rocks, sublittoral.

Distribution. Throughout the lagoon but abundant off Port Sud-Est, Ile Hermitage and Ile Gombrani.

Remarks. Small strong-shelled oysters with small but distinct marginal plications can be assigned to either Alectryonella or Dendrostrea . The pattern of chomata is variable and this group of oysters needs further work to resolve the actual number of species present.

Range. Indo-Pacific [S/M].
