= xenana Butler, 1869 , stat.rev. [Brévignon & Benmesbah (2012) noted that there were two similar species co-occurring in French Guiana, to which they applied the names 'T. cleopatra' and 'T. xenana'; the illustrated male genitalia of the latter species seems to correspond to that of west Amazonian cleopatra (TL: [Peru]), confirming the synonymy of Lamas (2004), while the former species could represent T. sosis or an undescribed species/Brévignon & Benmesbah (2012, Complément à l'inventaire des Satyrinae de Guyane ( Lepidoptera : Nymphalidae ), pp. 36-52, 4 pls., 1 tab. larua C. Felder & R. Felder, 1867
= armillata Butler, 1868 stat.rev. [Brévignon & Benmesbah (2012) stated that the names armillata and larua represented distinct species sympatric in Bolivia and Colombia and differing in wing pattern and genitalia; preliminary barcode data suggest possible cryptic species, but so far do not support two widespread sympatric species in the western Amazon, and examination of wing pattern and genitalic characters from series of specimens across the range of the species is needed to determine whether two or more species are present, along with location of all type material to determine which names should be applied. We therefore restore armillata as a synonym of larua pending further study/Brévignon & Benmesbah (2012, Complément à l'inventaire des Satyrinae de Guyane ( Lepidoptera : Nymphalidae ), pp. 36-52, 4 pls., 1 tab. In: Lacomme, D. & L. Manil (Eds.), Lépidoptères de Guyane. Tome 7. Nymphalidae )]

= crameri Weymer, 1910 stat.rev. [Brévignon (2008) considered crameri to represent a subspecies distinct from the nominate; specimens with phenotypes matching the types of crameri and mermeria are sympatric in much of the Amazon and could represent distinct species (despite a lack of molecular or genitalic evidence to date) or forms, but widespread sympatry is not consistent with subspecies so we restore crameri as a synonym of mermeria pending further study/Brévignon (2008, Inventaire des Satyrinae de Guyane française ( Lepidoptera : Nymphalidae ), pp. 62-94, 7 pls., 2 figs. In: Lacomme, D. & L. Manil (Eds.), Lépidoptères de Guyane. Tome 3. Rhopalocères 2)]
