Status in the Arabian Peninsula. Recorded from Yemen in original description by Krupp (1983); confirmed by Krupp & Budd (2009), Lyon et al. (2016), and Freyhof et al. (2020).
General distribution. Wadi Hadhramut drainage, Yemen. Habitat: freshwater.
Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula. Yemen: Widespread in the Wadi Hadhramut/Wadi Masila drainage.
Economic importance. No commercial importance.
Conservation. Endangered (EN).
