Diagnosis: The new species can be distinguished from other Chinese Anthidium species by the following combination: apical process of male S8 is trifid ( Fig. 34h View FIGURE 34 ), ventral margin at sub-middle part of male gonostylus is emarginate and with small acute projection ( Fig. 34j View FIGURE 34 ); female anterior lower part of scape is reddish-brown near base ( Fig. 35b View FIGURE 35 ), female apical clypeal margin is nearly smooth ( Fig. 35c View FIGURE 35 ), and female T6 is completely yellow ( Fig. 35f View FIGURE 35 ).
Description: Male. BL = 12.5–13.0 mm ( Fig. 34a View FIGURE 34 ); head broader than long, HW: HL = 76: 64 ( Fig. 34b View FIGURE 34 ); gena slightly broader than eye, GW: EW = 20: 18. Clypeus nearly as broad as long, apical margin of clypeus smooth, straight medially ( Fig. 34b View FIGURE 34 ); mandible with four teeth, apical one sharp, longest, third and fourth ones combined together; omaular carina absent; pronotal lobe rounded anteriorly; scutellum rounded posterolaterally, without tooth, not greatly overhanging metanotum and propodeum ( Fig. 34c View FIGURE 34 ); propodeum without fovea behind spiracle; fore wing with two submarginal cells, cells nearly equal in length, second recurrent vein meets distal to second submarginal crossvein; arolia absent; apical margin of S6 deeply emarginated, with distinct long and sharp lateral lobe, and median lobe broad triangular ( Fig. 34f View FIGURE 34 ), S7 as in Fig. 30g View FIGURE 30 ; apical process of S8 broad trifid ( Fig. 34h View FIGURE 34 ); T6 with distinct long and sharp lateral spine ( Fig. 34a View FIGURE 34 ); T7 with broad triangular lateral spine, but without submedian spine ( Fig. 34e View FIGURE 34 ), median spine of T7 subrectangular ( Fig. 34e View FIGURE 34 ); genitalia respectively shown in Fig. 34i View FIGURE 34 (in dorsal view) and Fig. 34j View FIGURE 34 (in lateral view), ventral margin at sub-middle part of gonostylus emarginated and with small acute projection ( Fig. 34j View FIGURE 34 ). Integument black, except reddish-brown on anterior surface of scape and F2; dark blackish brown on anterior surface of F3–F11 ( Fig. 34b View FIGURE 34 , Fig. 34c View FIGURE 34 ), coxae, trochanters, basal parts of femora; light yellow on clypeus, lower part of paraocular area, outer surface of mandible except teeth, one small marking on vertex near apex of eye respectively, tibiae, basitarsi ( Fig. 34a View FIGURE 34 ) and maculations of metasomal terga ( Fig. 34d View FIGURE 34 ); yellowish on tegula ( Fig. 34c View FIGURE 34 ); reddishbrown on teeth ( Fig. 34b View FIGURE 34 ); slightly brownish on mediotarsi and distitarsi ( Fig. 34a View FIGURE 34 ); dark brownish on sterna ( Fig. 34f View FIGURE 34 ). Fore wing hyaline, veins and stigma brownish. Lower part of face, gena, and lower part of mesepisternum covered with long and dense white pubescence ( Fig. 34a View FIGURE 34 , Fig. 34b View FIGURE 34 ); vertex covered with yellow pubescence; scutum and scutellum covered long and sparse pale yellowish-white pubescence ( Fig. 34c View FIGURE 34 ); metasomal terga covered with long sparse yellowish-white pubescence; apical margin of S4 medially covered with dense yellowish-brown pubescence brush, other sterna covered with long sparse yellowish-brownish pubescence; outer surface of basitarsi covered with long white hair; coxae, trochanters, femora and tibiae covered with long sparse pale yellowish-white hair, and outer apical margin of hind tibiae covered with short and dense white pubescence.
Female. BL = 9.8 mm ( Fig. 35a View FIGURE 35 ); head broader than long, HW: HL = 74: 66 ( Fig. 35b View FIGURE 35 ); gena nearly as broad as eye, GW: EW = 18: 16. Clypeus nearly as broad as long, apical margin nearly smooth, slightly projected medially, without two distinctly lateral tubercles, and with black T-shaped marking ( Fig. 35c View FIGURE 35 ); mandible with six teeth separated by acute notches, apical one sharp and longest, fifth one and sixth ones combined; omaular carina absent; pronotal lobe rounded anteriorly; scutellum rounded posterolaterally, without tooth, not greatly overhanging metanotum and propodeum ( Fig. 35d View FIGURE 35 ); propodeum without fovea behind spiracle; fore wing with two submarginal cells, cells nearly equal in length, second recurrent vein meets distal to second submarginal crossvein; arolia absent; T6 without preapical lateral projection ( Fig. 35f View FIGURE 35 ). Integument black, except yellow on one small marking on vertex near apex of eye ( Fig. 35a View FIGURE 35 ), lower part of paraocular area ( Fig. 35b View FIGURE 35 ), lateral sides of clypeus ( Fig. 35c View FIGURE 35 ), outer surface of mandible ( Fig. 35b View FIGURE 35 ), anterior and lateral margin of scutum ( Fig. 35d View FIGURE 35 ), axilla, tegula, posterior lateral part of scutellum ( Fig. 35d View FIGURE 35 ), maculations of metasomal terga ( Fig. 35e View FIGURE 35 ), and tibiae; reddish-brown on anterior lower part of scape ( Fig. 35b View FIGURE 35 ); blackish-brown on coxae; yellowish-brown on trochanters, femora. Fore wing hyaline, veins and stigma dark brownish. T1 with narrowly interrupted medially band, T2–T3 with uninterrupted medially bands, bands with semicircle-shaped area medially, T4–T5 with uninterrupted band, band complete, T6 completely yellow ( Fig. 35f View FIGURE 35 ). Lower part of gena, mesepisternum covered with long dense white pubescence, lower part of face, vertex, scutum, scutellum, and both lateral sides of metasomal terga covered sparse yellowish-white pubescence ( Fig. 35d View FIGURE 35 , Fig. 35e View FIGURE 35 , Fig. 35f View FIGURE 35 ); coxae, trochanters, femora and tibiae covered with sparse yellowish hair, and outer apical margin of hind tibiae covered with short and dense white pubescence; outer surface of basitarsi covered with short and dense white pubescence, but inner surface of basitarsi covered with brownish hair; scopa golden.

Etymology: The specific name is dedicated to Mr. Xue-Zhong ZHANG for collecting the holotype.
