Male. Body small. Fastigium verticis narrower than scapus, lateral sides almost parallel. Pronotum short, anterior and posterior margins slightly protruding; lateral lobe long equal to high, ventral margin triangularly rounded, humeral sinus absent, with a tumid semi-transparent area. Prosternum bispinose. Anterior coxa with a spine. Tibial tympanal organ conchate on both sides, anterior tibia with 5 and 4 spines on interior and exterior sides of ventral margin; medial tibia with 5 spines on interior and exterior sides of ventral margin; posterior tibia with 18–20 spines on internal and external sides of dorsal margin. All femora without spines, geniculate lobes with a spine. Tegmen short, reaching the middle of second abdominal tergite. Ninth abdominal tergite broad. Tenth abdominal tergite broad in base, apical half protruding afterward, narrow, apex lamella-shaped in dorsal view, apex subtruncated in lateral view, with middle longitudinal sulcus. Cerci robust and short, with a incurved inner spine, and a subapical spine curved downward. Subgenital plate broad, styles long on lateral apices.

Coloration. Body yellowish brown, eyes brown, vertex black. Disc blackish brown and posterior margin light, exterior margins with a pair of light stripes; lateral lobe of pronotum green. R vein area black. Dorsal margin of abdomen black or blackish brown. Apex of postfemur and posttibia in base black, tibial spines black, tarsi light brown. Dorsal margin of tibial tympana blackish brown.

Female. Tegmen short, reaching basal margin of second abdominal tergite, overlapped, R vein area black. Cercus conical, apex blunt. Subgenital plate triangular, apex slightly concave. Ovipositor straight, dorsal valve longer than ventral one, acute in apex.

Measurements (in mm). Body: ♂ 12.9–12.7, ♀ 13.5; Pronotum: ♂ 2.4–2.6, ♀ 3.1; Tegmen: ♂ 1.5–1.6, ♀ 1.6; Hind femur: ♂ 10.5–11.0, ♀ 14.0; Ovipositor: ♀ 14.0.

Type material. Holotype: male, China: Puer, Simao , Yunnan Province, 30 Jul. 2007. collected by Shi F- M and Mao S-L ; Paratypes: 2 males, 1 female, other data as holotype .

Remarks: This new species is allied to Conanalus brevicaudus sp. nov., but it is identified fiom the latter in: valvate-shaped process comparatively long; cerci robust and short, with a inner spine incurved in the middle, and subapical spine curved ventrad.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. This new species name refers to the morphology of male cercus.
