Angielczyk (2007): (1) ventral edge of the caniniform process or dorsal edge of the erupted portion of the canine tusk at the same level as the anterior orbital margin; (2) interpterygoid vacuity absent; (3) preparietal absent; (4) postparietal contributes to the intertemporal skull roof; (5) ossified cleithrum present; (6) acromion process absent; (7) procoracoid participates in formation of glenoid; (8) insertion of M. subcoracoscapularis on humerus extended into a distinct process; (9) trochlea and capitellum distinct.

Fröbisch (2007), Fröbisch & Reisz (2008): (1) preparietal absent; (2) postparietal contributes to the intertemporal skull roof; (3) interpterygoid vacuity absent.
