Geographical distribution. Across Indo-West Pacific and Tropical Eastern Pacific regions ( Castro 2011).

Remarks. Some of the specimens of Domecia glabra were collected from dead corals, but this species can also be found in living corals. Domecia glabra is usually smaller than D. hispida . In mature individuals of D. glabra , the carapace size typically is 4–5 mm, whereas the carapace size of D. hispida is about 5–10 mm.
